Powerline-Kommunikation (PLC) in der Fertigungs- und Automatisierungstechnik

In diesem Fachartikel wird zunächst eine Einführung in die Kommunikation der Fertigungs- und Automatisierungstechnik gegeben. Als Alternative zu bestehenden Kommunikationssystemen wird die „Powerline-Kommunikation“ vorgestellt. Dazu werden die bisherigen Anwendungsbereiche der Powerline-Kommunikation mit ihren Vor- und Nachteilen beschrieben. Im Folgenden wird erläutert, wie diese Technologie optimal in der Fertigungs- und Automatisierungstechnik eingesetzt werden könnte, welche notwendigen Schritte dazu ausgeführt werden müssen und welche Vorteile sich daraus ergeben.

In this article an introduction into communication in the manufacturing and automation technology is given. As an alternative to existing communication systems, the power line communication is proposed. In this context a short overview of existing powerline communication applications with their advantages and disadvantages is presented. Further the optimal application of this technology in the manufacturing and automation technology is described as well as necessary steps and resulting advantages.
